- Reduced Competition: Since fewer students apply for January intakes, you may face less competition for both university placements, housing options and potentially a quicker turn-around time with getting your visa. .
- Tailored Experience: Some universities that offer a January start may align their curriculum with students who have started in September, which allow students to finish quicker and complete their degree with the September start students.
Universities Offering January 2025 Start Dates

Middlesex University London
Middlesex university is a career-focused university offering practical degrees. Impressively, 91% of graduates are employed or pursuing higher education within six months of graduation.
January 2025 bachelor degree programmes:

Academic entry requirements:
- 3.2+ GPA: Test optional.
- 2.8-3.1 GPA: Must complement with SAT (550 on each part), ACT (min. 23 composite score) or at least two AP exams (min. score of 3).
Top up programmes are one-year long, which is equivalent to a US bachelor degree’s senior year only. For admission, applicants must have a min. of 120 undergraduate credits with at least 90 credits specializing in a business or equivalent business-based degree.

One of the following award qualifications:
- US high school diploma and transcript with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 and B in relevant subjects
- GED with minimum score of 165 in each of four subject tests
- If your high school GPA or GED scores fall slightly below, but you have completed at least one year (30 credits) at a US community college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.7, this may be considered
Student applying with US high school qualifications must also submit one of the following (test-optional):
- SAT: score of 1100 (550+ in both subjects)
- ACT (American College Test): score of 25
- Advanced Placement (AP) Tests: two passes with grade 3 and above in relevant subjects
- Students who have not taken SAT/ACT/APs may be eligible for our USA Assessment Alternative.
Transfer applicants: Students who have completed an associate’s degree at a community college or two years (60 credits) at a US university with a GPA of 2.7 in a relevant subject area may be considered for Advanced Entry to Year 2 (evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
